What €33 a day gets you
A Toyota Yaris: automatic, four seats, small enough for the lanes of the old town and economical on the Batumi road. A Kia Rio from €39 and a VW Jetta from €36 add boot space and a fifth seat. All three are automatic, like everything else we rent.
When to spend more instead
If Svaneti, Racha or winter mountain roads are on your route, an economy car is the wrong saving — take a four-wheel drive from €43. For Kutaisi, Batumi, Tbilisi and the paved canyon roads, the small car is genuinely enough and we will say so.
